Doctrine and Covenants 95:1
1 Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you whom I love, and whom Ialove I also chasten that their sins may be bforgiven, for with thecchastisement I prepare a way for their ddeliverance in all things out of etemptation, and I have loved you—
The Lord loves us! He shows us that He loves us as He chastens us and punishes our wrong doings. This might seem harsh, but the Lord is trying to help us and deliver us from further temptation. As He is "harsh" we learn what is and is not acceptable unto the Lord. Notice also, that each time the Lord chastens us, He reminds us of His love. Even when we do things wrong and He has to correct us, the Lord is still loving and accepting of us as His children.
Challenge: Look for ways that the Lord is chastening you. Then, change your habits and actions so that your ways are more in line with the ways of the Lord. Be grateful for righteous correction.

A Prayer of Thanks
Holy cow! We have so many things to be thankful for. We are such a blessed generation. Yet how often do we tell our Father in Heaven how grateful we truly are? Not enough!

Challenge for the week:
Every night before bed, say a prayer of thanksgiving. Don't ask for anything, just say thank you.

I love the prophet
I love the words of the prophets! Modern day prophets inspire and give me the strength necessary to continue in faith. I am currently in a living prophets class at BYU. I am really enjoying learning more about the prophets and leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This blog will be a chance for me to share what I am learning and to share my testimony of my Savior's mouthpiece on the Earth. Please feel free to share with me your favorite experiences, encounters, or talks from any of the amazing leaders of the Church!
